As an arranger, Dalton focuses on contemporary female writers like Sara Bareilles, Chappell Roan, and Billie Eilish, putting their songs into a musical palette typically dominated by men. By bringing the work of trailblazing female singer-songwriters into conversation with jazz, Dalton creates space for young women to hear their stories represented in a genre that has largely excluded them.
